Before entering the village of Las Playitas leads to the left a road in the mountains. If you follow this road about 5 km you see the lighthouse as a majestic castle high on the mountain. The narrow road takes an adventurous course and is no lateral attachment to a 207 m high-altitude plateau.
The red and white lighthouse was built here in 1954 on the eastern elevation of Fuerteventura and is a u - shaped building with three towers, of which the middle of the glass dome of the left and carries radar and thermal cameras
